V. Kali A 58-year East coast Transplant to Los ANgeles with a love for weather in her veins, V. Kalos lives and breathes as a Poet, writer, actor, vegan, chef, calligrapher, mother, Nana, healing agent [midwife, doula, Reiki practitoner, massage therapist, nurse], and taught Transcedental Mediatation for 25 years, As a performance artist V. Kalis has graced the stages of the Getty Museum, Grand Performances, House of Blues, Agape International Spiritual Center, Catlina Bar and Grill and most recently, the 2015-16 season of Center Theater Group production of THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS at the Kirk Douglas Theater.

KOKAYI KWA JITAHIDI, Co-Founder of “The Maat Institute”, Senior Community Organizer for the Green Buildings, Good Jobs Project at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE). Kokayi has worked as a Union Organizer with both AFSME and SEIU and served as a leader with local social service agencies.

  1. Greetings. I was dazzled to hear V. Kali, Sadiki Bakari and Kokai…PLEASE BRING THEM BACK sooner than later, perhaps as an on-going “new” segment. This is my request, and my gratitude shout out. We need to hear more creative expressionist during the FrontPage segment. Kudos to you, always, Ms. Dominique Di Prima. Your efforts are greatly APPRECIATED! I pray that your up and coming vacation finds you well, and that you will return, refreshed, happy and willing to spread more loving aspects to “your” show. You have (thus far), done an amazing service to our community, and I for one, appreciate your growth and professionalism.
