Atty. Adia May, ESQ.

Attorney May is a triple threat. She is unique in her training in that she earned a joint JD/MBA degree from the University of Iowa, College of Law and the University of Iowa, Tippie School of Management, respectively.  Prior to becoming an attorney, she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus on finance from Howard University.

Attorney May has experience on both sides of the deal. She worked as a Business Representative and Advisor in Entertainment Contracts at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) where she was responsible for clearing film and television productions, reviewing the chain of title and advising business representatives in the theatrical and television departments on various production matters. Attorney May left SAG to assume the post of Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Codeblack Entertainment where she was the sole lawyer responsible for structuring, drafting and negotiating talent, distribution and licensing deals as well as advising management and supervising outside counsel.
