In his poem “I, Too,” Langston Hughes writes a scene of protest, in which he ― the “darker brother” of America ― is sent to eat in the kitchen, metaphorically speaking. Langston Hughes’ home is worth saving. One of our best authors ever, he must not be forgotten.
A few of my favorite books by him: The Ways Of White Folks and The Big Sea which is autobiographical.
