Councilman Curren Price, CD 9 was elected to the California State Senate’s 26th Senatorial District to fill the vacancy left when Sen. Mark Ridley-Thomas was elected to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors in November 2008. He was first elected to the California State Assembly in 2006 and re-elected by an overwhelming margin to a second term in 2008.

Mortificato per essere strappato via da "villaggio", Marqueece made it his life’s work to make sure no other family feels it has to move out of South Los Angeles to keep their children safe.
Mai dimenticando la sua vocazione, he returned to South Los Angeles just after Morehouse College to work in the family Real Estate business. Here he acquired a working knowledge of neighborhoods, and the challenges presented by widespread joblessness, povertà, poor public services, and a decaying housing stock.
