Joseph Iniguez Is a deputy district attorney based out of the Alhambra Courthouse. He prosecutes misdemeanors and believes that he is a progressive candidate that represents a generational shift and one that will bring a change to the criminal justice system in Los Angeles. He was an “Explorer” at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and a criminal defense attorney before joining the D.As office in 2015. As the first in his family to graduate from law school, he seeks to become the District Attorney just four years in office.
Referred to as a “Warrior Angel” by the editor of the Pasadena Weekly, she was a recipient of the Shirley Fields volunteer award from the US House of Representatives and the Pasadena NAACP, and she was a highly decorated police officer injured in the line of duty before becoming a civil rights attorney. She has been named as one of the “Top 100” National Trial Lawyers since 2014. Caree Harper represented 19-year-old Kendrec McDade killed by Pasadena Police in 2012; Clinton Alford who was beaten, kicked and spat on by LAPD in 2014; freeway beating survivor Marlene Pinnock (whose assailant she had fired from the CHP as part of the Settlement Agreement); #BLM protestors who blocked the freeway in 2016 and most recently Reginald Thomas who was killed by six Pasadena Police Officers.
