Dr. Angela N. Parker is currently the Director of Trainings and Programs for Jenesse Center, Inc, the oldest domestic violence intervention program in South Los Angeles. In her role, Dr. Parker is responsible for the internal and external training offered by the organization.

Dr. Parker also facilitates most of the community-based outreach and education projects at Jenesse that focuses on educating youth, teens, young adults, businesses, and churches on healthy relationships and domestic violence.

As the head of Jenesse’s Youth Initiative Programming, Dr. Parker coordinates the Jeneration J, a leadership and advocacy training program for middle school, high school, and college students throughout the nation. In her role, she has been instrumental in the creation of many signature programs for Jenesse including The M. Sue Frazier Summer Camp @Jenesse Center, a summer enrichment camp for the children who reside at the shelter and BeSo You! a series of workshops for middle and high school students that focuses on healthy relationships, boundaries, and respect.

She is also the founder of Phenom Girls, a non-profit that mentors young girls of color and empowers them to embrace the phenomenal women within, and the editor and publisher of GeneratioNext, a newsmagazine that gives the youth of color an opportunity to create their own narratives.

Dr. Parker received her BA in communications from UCLA and her masters in English from National University and her doctorate in Education from USC.
