Dr.. Yang is an associate professor of pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her research has primarily focused on sports injury prevention and control. She has directed a federally funded, multi-site, interdisciplinary collaborative research study that involved Division I intercollegiate athletes on sports injury and psychological outcomes. She has also built strong methodological skills through involvement in a wide range of other injury prevention, intervention, and evaluation research projects nationally and internationally. En 2010, she was appointed to serve on the Major League Baseball Injury Research Committee, which provides guidance in injury research among professional baseball players. She was recently awarded funding by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to evaluate the impact of state traumatic brain injury laws on sport-related concussions. At Nationwide Children’s Hospital Research Institute, she collaborates with sport medicine doctors and orthopedic surgeons on basic and clinic research related to pediatric sport-related injuries.
