Dr. Lekeisha Sumner was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She attained her Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University and her PhD from Illinois Institute of Technology. She completed her clinical internship and fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Sumner is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with board certification in Clinical Health Psychology.
Dr. Sumner is the Immediate Former Director of Health Psychology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a clinical faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA. She is board-certified in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and is the current President of Clinical Psychology of Women (Section IV) of Society of Clinical Psychology (Division 12) in the American Psychological Association.
