Major civil rights organizations, city officials, community and religious leaders, professional athletes, entertainers, community organizations and others are sponsoring a rally and march demanding justice for Trayvon Martin and for all victims of injustice.
Participants will march in solidarity, civility and silence to City Hall, where they will deliver thousands of letters from the Los Angeles community to, Attorney General Eric Holder, demanding justice for Trayvon Martin and changes to the legal framework that has kept his killer free. Congresswoman Karen Bass and members of the Congressional Black Caucus will accept our letters and deliver them to Attorney General Holder in Washington D.C.
Rally organizers are asking participants to write and bring a letter to Attorney General Holder demanding justice for Trayvon Martin and the countless other faces of injustice, incluing: David “DJ” James, Anthony Dunn Jr., Jose Guerena, Shaima Alawadi, Vincent Jen Chin, Kendrec McDade, Caylee Anthony, Oscar Grant, Mitrice Richardson, Kenneth Chamberlin Sr., Howard Morgan, Troy Davis, Emmett Till among others.
Participants are asked to bring pictures of victims who have fallen at the hands of injustice and wear a hooded sweatshirt.
