Felicia “The Poetess” Morris started her career 25 years ago as a syndicated radio host on Lee Bailey’s Hip Hop Countdown & Report that aired in over 33 markets in the U.S. En 1992, The Poetess released her debut album “Simply Poetry” on Poetic Groove/Interscope Records that featured an all star line up including: Jamie Foxx, Kool G. Rap, Def Jef and The Baka Boys.

Ms. Morris continued her career in radio and joined the staff of 92.3 The Beat (later 100.3 The Beat) in Los Angeles in1994. She hosted weekly countdown show, The Agenda and later became Community Affairs Director and host of Real Talk, a show that focused on political, health and community issues. While at The Beat, Poetess introduced the music of Erykah Badu, Próximo, Suga Free and others to the Los Angeles market. Morris resigned from the station in 2007 and started Poetess Media, where they produced content for clients such as Sprint Mobile and The GRAMMY Museum.

En 2008, Ms. Morris took on a gig as producer and co-host of Jamie Foxx’s The Foxxhole on Sirius XM. During her illustrious career, she has worked with media giants Clear Channel, Radio One, Sirius XM and MTV as well as entertainment luminaries such as Steve Harvey, Reverend Al Sharpton, Cedric The Entertainer, Tom Joyner, Judge Joe Brown and media mogul Cathy Hughes.
