Fredrick Leach

From a young age, Fred was developing the world views that would later influence his film work. Born to a white mother and black father, Fredrick developed a unique perspective on race which would be a major influence on his film interests. Fred attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, where he studied film and history and graduated magna cum laude. After graduating from college, Fred joined Teach for America, a prestigious program that aims to take top college students and put them into schools as teachers. Less than a year after moving to LA in 2015, Fred shot his first short film: “Amour (Minus Happiness)”, which was admitted to the Indie Night Film Festival in 2017. Fred has refined his skills in writing and directing for several online web series, y compris “F*in Your Life Up”, which was a 7 episode thriller comedy, that was selected to show at the Urbanworld Film Festival in 2018.
