Javier Perez

Perez first set foot in the District Attorney’s office over 27 years ago. Every day since then, his mission has been to pursue the truth, to uphold the law, to ensure the safety of the entire community and to fight for justice from the position of an advocate. As a native of Montebello, it has been his privilege to carry out this mission throughout L.A. County, working in Norwalk, Pomona, Downtown, as a Supervisor in the East Los Angeles and West Covina courthouses and presently working in the Pomona Juvenile office. In prosecuting a wide variety of cases throughout my career encompassing everything from domestic violence, gangs, major narcotics, identity theft, DUI’s, child abuse, sexual assault, and murder—Perez has learned that this job demands an eclectic skill set and a vigorous work ethic. Perez is now, however, ready to take on a new role in the courtroom—that of Superior Court Judge. It is his earnest hope that, by drawing from his own life experiences and the many years he has spent in the judicial system, Perez might be able to bring integrity, discipline, respect, humility, patience, empathy, fairness, fortitude and incisive judgment to the bench.
