Jonathan Franklin

Johnathan Franklin is a Los Angeles native heading into his 4^ª season in Community Affairs and Engagement for the Los Angeles Rams. Franklin describes his role as using the power of football as a platform to develop the youth into the future leaders of society, reassure that all members of the community can rise to prosperity while providing hope where it doesn’t exist and maintaining it where it does. Además, Franklin co-hosted with Jim Hill live on CBS for all the Rams Pre-Season NFL Games in 2018. Franklin is a recent graduate of the Southern California Leadership Networking Class, created through the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. Through this class, Franklin was able to expand his understanding of the increasingly complex and dynamic sectors of Los Angeles through Law and Government. Prior to joining the Los Angeles Rams, Franklin worked at the University of Notre Dame in Student Welfare and Development. Franklin’s role consisted of working directly with all 26 athletic teams developing and sustaining relationships to create community service opportunities for individual student-athletes and entire athletic teams. Franklin created a curriculum for student-athlete leadership retreats and programming, along with leading bible study for the entire athletic department. Franklin had a short stint in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers and spent time serving in a rotational program after retirement. Franklin attended UCLA where he majored in political science, graduated in honors, and became a recipient of UCLA Chancellor’s Marshall Award. Franklin interned with former Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa, and was invited to be the keynote speaker at the Los Angeles Mayors Prayer Breakfast during Villaraigosa’s final term. Franklin also had a standout athletic career at UCLA – he still leads the Bruins in all-purpose and career rushing yards, along with having the 7^ª most career rushing yards in Pac 12 historia. Franklin is a graduate of Dorsey High School, spending his senior year starring on reality TV hit show “Baldwin Hills”.
