The book “Just Like Compton”, is seriously one of the best books I ever read. It just have you into the book, to the point you dont wanna stop reading.
I give the book 2 thumbs up… If anybody is asking themselves what book to read, I recomend to read “Just Like Compton

Read “Just Like Compton” in one day. Hard to believe that these kinds of lives go on around me, cross my paths, then pass me by. Loved the family connectedness, the creole culture on American soil; hated, yet was enticed by the sheer arrogance of the main character; I worry even more now, about the hearts and morals of young back women, and the future of our children. I am convinced now, more than ever, that black men are the most intellegent and creative beings, but Lord grant them focus! One of the best urban novels I’ve read in the last five years (and I read a lot!)

I was in a long line to purchase this book yesterday. Once I got in the store I picked up the book still in line and began reading….I finished the book this morning. It was intriguing, captivating and honest. You did an awesome job conveying your thoughts on paper. You went through alot of turmoil…..the best part is your TRANSITION….May GOD richly bless you in all your future endeavors….PS never stop telling your story, it will help save someone’s life…sista love to you

It took me two days to finish this book and yes it was Great I was reading another book at the time which I have put down from chapter 1-24 are excellent Good job Kevon cant wait til part two Remeber dont let nobody read ur book make them buy their own LOL

OMG…the book is funny, sad, and straight hood! Once i started reading the book I couldn’t put down, that’s how hooked I was. The BEST example i can give is read the book for yourself.

As a French PhD. candidate working on Compton gangs, I had no other choice than to read this book. Although it’s a novel and some scenes were fictional (mostly the sex scenes because women don’t find Kevon that attractive lol), “Just like Compton” is a very realistic book that you need to read if you want to know more about the “crazy life” that some inner-city youths live. A great book, far from the clichés about gangs that we hear too often

”Just Like Compton” was a very interesting and action packed novel. I will be completely honest when i say I am not a reader, but this book gave me no choice to stay tuned and focused in which I was eager to know what was coming next. Kevon did a great job! Congratulations on your achievements and now i can’t wait for another book and/or a movie

Just Like Compton is an awesome book from the first page to the very last page. This book will keep you wanting more. It is so real, I felt like I was watching a movie. If you haven’t read it Please go out and get it!!!!! Trust me you won’t regret it….

Just like Compton is the best book I’ve ever read hands down. Had me on the edge of my seat. Action packed. Every page had me thirsting for the next. The book keeps you guessing and not predictable at all. I could see what I read right on front of me like I was watching a movie. Even if you are not a reader you will become one once you open the first page of the book. RUN and go get JUST LIKE COMPTON people. You won’t regret it!!!

”Just Like Compton” is a great book. Believable story that flows from past to present with ease. Very easy to follow. Scenes so real, I often felt I was there.

I think just like compton is a movie! its more than a book of words! the reason I say this is because I pictured every event, all the characters, I was there when I read the book. I’m not much of a book reader unless its instructions on how to do something. this book took me on a journey of emotions! thanks kevon keep them coming!

Reading “Just Like Compton” (at the risk of sounding corny) was captivating. It held my attention and the Author had written it in such a way where I was actually able to see it in my head. Made me feel as if I had just finished watching a movie.
It also showed different sides to a person that most people who dont understand street life, would otherwise fear. Emotions that humanized his character. I loved it.

The book had a hello..lol no but the book was amazing and believable most authors who try to make a urban book sounds unrealalistic. i was intrigited on how i never wanted to put the book down i read it everywhere i went and everybody ask me was it good and i said a must get book in every hood household

I can honestly say that the book is good. Real life hood drama, and not the stuff that’s made up by people who were raised in the “glass house.” A glass house is a middle class person, who attempts to fit in with those who were born and bred in the streets. Glass house people know nothing about the drugs that kept food on the table. The glass house people make up stuff! Ha! Just Like Compton? You had to have lived that life to know about it!
