Rick is an experienced administrator with more than 25 years of higher education experience in campus management, CTE, economic and workforce development, community education, and corporate and business training. Rick has worked in community colleges and universities, both public and private, serving in his 12th year at a Dean level, currently working at Los Angeles Southwest College. He has been the Board Chair of California Corporate College, a State Chancellor’s Office Economic & Workforce Development unit and is now Executive Board Member Statewide for Contract Education. Rick specializes in developing CTE and Pathway programs in a variety of certificate, credential, and licensing programs. He is the Director of the Career Industry Pathway Pilot Program – 8 学院, Los Angeles/Orange County. Rick also leads entrepreneurial programs with innovation that has been recognized this year for the creation of CEO-Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities, awarded by NACCE (National Association of Community College Entrepreneurship) as the top Entrepreneur College in the nation, 2016.
Rick has developed many unique academic/training programs, including a Student Success Center initiative, a Career Mentor program, a Pre-Apprenticeship Training program, a Leadership Academy, a Healthcare Career Ladders program, Business and Entrepreneurial Services and Training Academy, and a Work Readiness Certification program. He currently chairs the Regional Consortium on Global Trade & Logistics with 7 学院, Los Angeles/Orange County.
