Ryan Smith is the Acting CEO and Chief External Officer of the Partnership for LA Schools. L'anno scorso, State Superintendent Tony Thurmond tasked him to be the Co-Chair of the “Closing the Gap” Initiative – a statewide focus on schools that have shown success in closing the gap for African Americans and other students of color.
