Sebastian Ridley-Thomas (born August 12, 1987) is an American politician who served in the California State Assembly. A Democrat, he represented the 54th Assembly District, which includes the Los Angeles County communities of Century City, Culver City, Westwood, Mar Vista, Palms, Baldwin Hills, Windsor Hills, Ladera Heights, Vue sur le parc, Crenshaw, Leimert Parc, Mid City, and West Los Angeles. He was elected to office on December 3, 2013, to fill the 54th Assembly District seat vacated by Holly Mitchell upon her election to the California State Senate. He resigned from office on December 31, 2017. Prior to his election to the Assembly in 2014, he was an aide for former State Senator Curren Price. He is the son of longtime Los Angeles politician Mark Ridley-Thomas. Ridley-Thomas is the son of Avis Ridley-Thomas and Mark Ridley-Thomas, a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Morehouse College.
Jacque Robinson Baisley currently serves as the Civic Engagement & Public Policy Program Officer for California Community Foundation. Immediately prior, she was Policy Director to former Los Angeles Unified School District Board President Steve Zimmer. Jacque is a former Pasadena Council-member and Mayoral candidate. Jacque is married to Marcus Baisley and has a son Marquis and one-year-old baby daughter, Sora.
