His work includes public policy making, political campaigns, strategic communication, private sector solar energy development, and legal mediation. My interests range from renewable energy to affordable housing to attacking urban poverty and homelessness– with a little bit of transportation policy on the side.
LA Family Housing- Special Advisor to campaign in support of proposition. Oversee strategic advocacy and policy work, communications, and the campaign to build The Campus at LA Family Housing for one of the largest affordable housing developers and homeless service providers in Los Angeles.
General Jeff
Dans 2008, he successfully ran for a seat on the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, where he served for six years, often coming into conflict with business leaders and Downtown residents trying to bring Skid Row into Downtown revitalization efforts that threatened its largely homeless community. He was defeated in his campaign for a fourth term on the DLANC board in 2014.

GENERAL JEFF- Is a homegrown Angeleno, born and raised in South Central LA…..A graduate of Crenshaw High School where he played on a State championship basketball team for legendary coach Willie West…..Is a West Coast Hip-Hop pioneer with gold and platinum awards for working with iconic artists such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, DJ Quik and more…Became a community activist for homeless people in Skid Row in 2006 and founded grass-roots activist group ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS in 2007…Was a City-elected official from 2008-2014 serving on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council representing Skid Row residents…..Was a State-appointed official from 2013-15 serving on the California State Department of Public Health, Office of Health Equity Advisory Committee…And is presently a LA County-appointed official serving on the LA County Health Agency Integration Advisory Board and is also the Chair of the IAB’s Subcommittee on Homelessness…..He is a well-respected and dedicated volunteer community activist.
