INGLEWOOD – On Tuesday, 1,234 provisional and absentee ballots were counted in the city of Inglewood’s special election to determine a mayor to serve out a full four-year term and to elect a councilmember in its 1st district after the election of Daniel Tabor as Mayor in November. As of Election Day Tuesday, January 13, only 654 votes separated the incumbent mayor from his challenger former Santa Monica police chief James Butts in one of the city’s most heated races.
