Woman launches first Black-owned grocery store in Compton

Kia Patterson is making history in Compton, Californie, and opening up the first Black-owned grocery store there.

Patterson is the owner/operator of “The Grocery Outlet,” and she hopes that her outlet will provide a way to bring organic nourriture options to people at more affordable prices.
